FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
How do I find my franchise location?
One of the most important issues is location. While most of our sites
have been
located by the Franchisee, we help to evaluate the site’s accessibility
to major roads for deliveries as well as its ability to meet our criteria for
success. We recommend doing a site development search by contacting local real
estate and development companies to ascertain the current rents and availability.
How many employees will I need to operate
a franchise?
We feel it is important for our Franchise Partners to be hands-on owners/operators
to be successful. You will need staffing to accommodate production, order taking
and delivery. Including yourself, you will need a basic staff of 5 people to
begin operation.
Do I need any experience
to operate a FruitFlowers™franchise?
“Team Spirit” is the key to a labor intense
operation. If you’re people-oriented and enjoy
working in a creative, constantly challenging environment,
then you have the ability to be a successful franchisee.
Hard work, the drive to succeed, and willingness to
grow is always a winning combination. FruitFlowers
has a proven track record of franchising to people
from a variety of business backgrounds. If you’re
a qualified applicant, we would be proud to show you
our success!
Is my territory protected?
Absolutely! Each franchise is given an exclusive territory in which no other
franchise will be awarded.
As a franchisee, what do I have to purchase
from the franchisor?
Quality control is of utmost importance in maintaining the high standards set
by FruitFlowers. The franchise encourages franchisees to make vendor and product
suggestions, however it is franchisor who sets the standards to which all products
must adhere for all locations. This is in the best interest of our nationwide
customers who want the same quality product in New York as they get in California,
for example. There may be an occasional item that comes along that benefits
the franchise as a whole. When this occurs, this item would be required for
purchase by the franchisee.
What does the training program consist of?
The training program includes all facets of shop operations including hands-on
instruction in the creation of our designs. During the three-week program,
training includes:
- FruitFlowers design training
- Purchasing
- Organization of delivery system
- Order taking
- Staff development
- Management techniques
- Bookkeeping procedures
- Advertising and marketing
- Public relations plan
How do I get started?
The
first step in becoming a FruitFlowers franchise is
to complete the qualification
application. Once you have passed our initial
screening, we will invite you to visit us at one
of our upcoming Discovery Days at our corporate offices
in Suburban Philadelphia. Then you will meet key
members of our staff and tour two local stores. Lunch
with our co-Founders and an opportunity to discuss
your qualifications and why you should be awarded
an exclusive territory for your own FruitFlowers
franchise.
If you prefer to speak with one of our sales representatives, please contact
